Groundhog Day

Phil Connors' time loop is the perfect cinematic representation of Albert Camus' Myth of Sisyphus. Faced with the ultimate repetition of the absurd, Phil goes through the classic stages: initial indulgence, despair/suicide, and finally, acceptance. By shifting his focus away from escaping the loop and towards self-improvement and helping others, Phil embodies Stoic principles. He ceases to battle the uncontrollable cosmos and finds joy in the immediate present.
